More than 3 months ago, I signed up on the website Trackur.com. This site offers a web application that allows you to assess your online presence. I haven't worked with this application particularly, but what's prompting me to mention it to you today is the email I received this morning (21/01/11) (or rather, last night as it arrived at 00:07).

When I signed up, the site implied the possibility that one day Trackur might send me emails with Expert advice and offers that might interest me. But there you have it, for 3 months I didn't go back to the site and they didn't contact me either. And then, surprise, this morning I received an email: «Important: Trackur Needs Your Permission». A Reactivation email!!! Exceptional!!! I believe that «unfortunately »This is the first time this has happened to me There has to be a first time for everything.

So here is the message I received:

A rare example of a reactivation email

L'Trackur reactivation email

One might say that it's logical to do that, that it's just one of many Good emailing practices See to build a responsive contact base and Here are a few tips for designing effective messages: * **Know your audience:** Who are you trying to reach? What are their interests, needs, and language? Tailor your message to resonate with them. * **Define your objective:** What do you want to achieve with your message? Is it to inform, persuade, entertain, or call to action? Having a clear goal will shape your content. * **Keep it concise and clear:** Get straight to the point. Use simple language and avoid jargon. Short, impactful sentences are often best. * **Focus on a single key message:** Trying to convey too much information can dilute your primary point. Identify the most important thing you want your audience to take away. * **Use a compelling headline or opening:** Grab attention immediately. Make it interesting and relevant to your audience. * **Structure for readability:** Use headings, subheadings, bullet points, and short paragraphs to break up text and make it easy to scan and digest. * **Choose the right tone:** Should your message be formal, informal, humorous, serious, empathetic? The tone should match your brand and your audience. * **Include a clear call to action (if applicable):** What do you want people to do after receiving your message? Make it obvious and easy to follow. * **Proofread carefully:** Errors in spelling or grammar can undermine your credibility. Always review your message before sending it. * **Consider the medium:** Where will this message be delivered? An email, a social media post, a printed flyer, or a spoken presentation will all require different design considerations. But there you have it, it's so rare that I wanted to share it with you. At the same time, I don't think Trackur will blame me for highlighting their application, and perhaps it's also a way for them to set themselves apart.

In the end, everyone wins. They are reminded of me, gain visibility through this post, and I, for my part, rediscover a tool that could be useful to me but whose existence I had forgotten.
